A busy month!
Congratulations to lab member Shruthi Srinivasan for successfully completing her preliminary exam, entitled "Improving 3D-Rotational Shear Wave Elasticity Imaging Techniques for Skeletal Muscle Health Biomarker Development, " in which she discussed improving robot-assisted 3D-SWEI, fabrication of anisotropic phantoms for SWEI calibration, and her study proposal to investigate longitudinal change in healthy muscle stiffness!
Lab members Wren Wightman and Shruthi Srinivasan traveled to Taipei, Taiwan to participate in the 2024 IEEE UFFC-Joint Symposium!!
After overcoming their jetlag, Wren presented a poster entitled "Multidimensional SWEI algorithms in rotationally sampled data: Assessing the accuracy of phase speed reconstruction in transversely isotropic media," in which she discussed the performance of a phase-velocity estimation algorithm on shear wave motion in simulated TI materials and a stretched PVA phantom. Shruthi presented a talk entitled "3D-Rotational Shear Wave Elasticity Imaging (3D-RSWEI) in Multi-Modality Anisotropic Phantoms," in which she discussed the development of an anisotropic lattice phantom for SWEI characterization.
When Shruthi and Wren weren't attending the conference, they were exploring Taipei!
