Congratulations to Dr. Courtney Paley and co-authors for their most recent publication entitled "Automatic Reconstruction Algorithms for In Vivo Skeletal Muscle 3D-SWEI Data" published in IEEE T-UFFC. This work showcased the accuracy and robustness of many existing shear wave speed estimation algorithms and algorithm parameters applied to data collected in in vivo skeletal muscle, a highly structured and anisotropic material!
Authors found that using a fixed lateral range across different rotational angles for the Radon Sum algorithm were the most robust to noise for characterization of shear wave propagation in muscle. Additionally, authors made code for these algorithms publicly available at https://zenodo.org/records/18883176 !
